“ I was a little concerned about the quality and service here when I read the reviews. Seemed like most of the recent reviews were negative. Fortunately, they had a wide selection of food, it was fresh and the service was quick. There was a language barrier because the staff was Asian or Hispanic and most couldn't speak English but they quickly brought someone by that could. I would come here again. Buffet was 15.99 for adults. They had reduced prices for kids. I paid $7.50 for my 6 yo and 10.50 for the 9 yo. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I left satisfied. Just one caveat, we did eat there on labor day and they were serving the dinner menu all day. I'd imagine a smaller variety during the lunch times. ”

“ Altoona Gourmet Buffet was a surprise. It's a large restaurant with a large selection. Entrees, sides, deserts. There is a lot. I've been there twice now and have tried most of the standards (sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, General Taos ) and all were good. You can't help but fond something there you will like. In addition there are at least three types of shrimp, n mushrooms, and a variety of appetizers. I'd say the only thing that I had any reservations about was the egg rolls. They were soft and mushy and somewhat dried out. Everything else I tried however was good and some were better than good. For an all you can eat buffet with so many choices you really can't go wrong. ”
